Taurasi is the Barolo of the South — Campania's great Aglianico appellation, still flying under most collectors' radar.
Grown on volcanic soils in the hills of Irpinia in southern Campania, Taurasi's Aglianico produces wine of extraordinary tannin structure, dark cherry intensity, and cellar longevity that rivals northern Italy's greatest reds. Mastroberardino and Feudi di San Gregorio have defined the modern style. The wines need a decade before they're ready and then last for another three. This corduroy cap is for the Italian wine enthusiast who's gone south past Barolo and discovered what Campanian volcanic soils can do. 100% cotton corduroy, adjustable buckle strap.
A Campanian wine collector cap. Head circumference 20″–22″.
