Producer
Old Bailey Vineyard is one of the foundational sites of West Paso Robles — limestone hills, old vines, and a history that predates the appellation's modern reputation. Stereophonic is the winery behind some of the most compelling and honestly priced Paso Robles wines being made today.
☀️ Solar· 🌘 Dusk
Solar primary — West Paso's abundant sunshine and warm days ripen Cabernet to a luscious, fruit-forward expression that is the definition of Solar energy. The warmth is generous, not oppressive. Dusk secondary — the limestone of Old Bailey Vineyard and the genuine tannic structure built into this wine add the depth and aging potential that elevates it above the appellation's simpler expressions.
Tasting note
For almost sixty vintages in the limestone hills of West Paso, Old Bailey's ungrafted vines have produced some of the most beautifully fruited Cabernet in California. Black cherry, Santa Rosa plum, pomegranate, baking spice, flowers — and a medium tannin structure and natural acidity that portends a good decade of improvement.
