2021 Stereophonic Carignane, "The Faster Blade", Denner Vineyard, Willow Creek District, Paso Robles, CA

Snarling and sinuous, this Carignane tears apart polite winemaking norms with a mineral-strewn, savagely aromatic personality.  Blood orange, pomegranate, hot asphalt and roasted rosemary aromas curl out of the glass and the wine inside delivers with a tense, potent profile uncommon in Paso Robles.  Lots of tannin, lots of acidity and lots of sticky, rocky fruit evolve from this country wine with noble intensity.
