Directly opposite Salon. Every acre on chalk.

Producer
Philippe Charlemagne is the fifth generation of his family to make wine in Mesnil-sur-Oger, from 15 hectares principally in Oger and Mesnil. Their Champagne house sits directly opposite the famous Salon cellars — a fact that is less a coincidence than a reflection of the neighborhood's extraordinary terroir.
🌅 Dawn·
🪨 Stone
Dawn primary — five generations of accumulated knowledge about this specific chalk and this specific village is the definition of craft-driven precision. Stone secondary — Le Mesnil Grand Cru chalk is perhaps the most mineral terroir in Champagne. Charlemagne's wines make that fact impossible to ignore.
Tasting note
Philippe Charlemagne's estate sits directly across from Salon in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger — the most famous address in Champagne. Eighty-seven percent of his vines are Chardonnay grown on the chalk that makes this village's wines so distinctive. The Grand Reserve is a study in mineral precision from one of the best pieces of real estate in the appellation.
