Bazin L'Unanime Brut
WSJ blind tasting winner. Under $60. Extraordinary.
ALLOCATION I
Dawn-Driven · Entry Cuvée · Outstanding Value
Producer
Noel Bazin farms Premier Cru Chardonnay in Villers-Marmery. Their L'Unanime won a Wall Street Journal blind tasting as a replacement for Veuve Clicquot — one of the most practically useful endorsements a Champagne can receive.
🌅 Dawn·
🪨 Stone
Dawn primary — the solera system and careful oak aging of reserve wines reflect the kind of intentional craft that Dawn energy rewards. Stone secondary — Premier Cru chalk in Villers-Marmery delivers minerality that punches well above the entry-cuvée price point.
Tasting note
The entry cuvée from one of Champagne's most underappreciated estates. 70% 2022 base vintage, 30% solera including oak-aged reserve wines. Premier Cru Villers-Marmery fruit from vines up to 50 years old. Crisp, light, slightly oxidative, with chalky minerality that arrives early and stays late.
