🌅 Dawn· 🪨 Stone
Dawn primary — a family that farms exclusively Grand Cru terroir and maintains that quality across their entire range is the definition of craft-driven precision. Stone secondary — Grand Cru Avize, Oger, and Cramant chalk delivers the mineral foundation that defines great Blanc de Blancs.
Tasting note
The Bonville family has farmed exclusively Grand Cru Côte des Blancs since the 1920s — every acre they own is chalky, east-facing Grand Cru in Avize, Oger and Cramant. The entry bottling contains at least half reserve wines, giving it complexity and consistency well above what the price suggests.

The Bonville family has some of the best terroir imaginable for growing Chardonnay--every acre that they own is super chalky, east-facing Grand Cru on the Cote des Blancs. They have been making their own Champagne here since the 1920s, and growing here for many generations before that. This is their entry level bottling, and what a way to start! It is made of at least half reserve wines, giving it not only the dry, chalky drive that makes this area famous, but also giving the wine toasty, creamy, delicious drinkability. A must-try for any Champagne lover!

  • 92Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Based on the 2020 vintage with some vins de réserve from 2021, Bonville's NV Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs displays a delicate, floral bouquet of spring blossoms, blanched almonds and lemon oil. Moderately weighted, round and elegant, it's beautifully citrusy on the mid-palate with a pure, clean and crystalline texture that segues into a long, mouthwatering finish. With a dosage of 4.2 grams per liter, this 100% Chardonnay is derived from vines planted in Avize, Oger and Cramant.
