Stone secondary — Provençal limestone, Irancy tuff, Loire tufa — mineral character is the common thread that ties these otherwise very different wines together.

Three medium-weight, earthy, food-friendly reds that share a quality of savory, mineral-driven pleasure. Trevallon's limestone Provence, Richoux's old vine Irancy, Dittière's Loire Cab Franc. All have room to improve in the cellar. All drink brilliantly now.
